Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative is seeking individuals with mechanical skills, factory processing or farm experience for the upcoming sugar beet processing season, tentatively scheduled to begin August 20, 2010. This is an ideal opportunity for those interested in seasonal August-April steady employment as well as those interested in developing their industrial mechanical skills into a top paying, year-round career opportunity with a full benefit program. Minn-Dak has over 60 job classifications with wages starting at $12.40 per hour and opportunity with demonstrated abilities to grow into positions as high as $25.20 per hour. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals to combine factory processing work with summer maintenance skills.

Factory applicants are required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.

GENERAL LABOR
SUGAR BEET HARVEST
RECEIVING STATION WORK
10-14 Days starting approximately October 1, 2010
Limited work available in August

$12.40 to $16.85 per hour

HARVEST CREW SCHEDULES:
Two 12-hour daily shifts, 2AM-2PM and 2PM-2AM
*Time and one half pay for over 8 hours worked per shift*
*Double time pay for over 12 hours worked per shift*
*Time and one half pay for Saturday shifts*
*Double time pay for Sunday shifts*
*Bonus program for returning employees*

The stock piling of sugar beets is a continuous, round-the-clock operation
based upon harvest conditions. Some classifications require the ability to frequently lift/carry up to 35-40 lbs. and farm equipment/Bobcat operating experience is a plus.

In Minnesota work is available at the Wolverton, Foxhome, Nashua and Charlesville beet receiving stations.

In North Dakota work is available at the Tyler and Galchutt beet receiving stations as well as the factory site receiving station in Wahpeton. A limited number of $12.40 per hour harvest day shift (7AM-7PM) positions are available at the factory station sample lab as well as the $12.40+ per hour starting pay positions for the 8-hour rotating shifts, factory processing season,
August 20 – April, 2010.
